Power costs rising this month

Copper Valley Electric Association members will see a rise in energy bills this month after the “cost of power” portion of electric bills was set at 9.40 cents per kwh for August.

Valdez High School runners competed at the Skyview Invitational in Soldotna last Saturday. More than 900 athletes from around the state attended, creating a huge challenge for the Valdez runners.
